Celebrate the idea that people achieve their best when they work together. A slow and gentle opening in the clarinets develops as other instruments join in building toward an optimistic, spirited section. As the music progresses, thematic departures build tension, which eventually resolves in a joyful restatement of the opening melody. The work concludes with a bold and bright ending. Appropriate for assessment and concerts as a program bookend.
